Andrew Woeck pitched a complete game, scattering five hits and allowing just 2 earned runs while striking out 7. Seattle first baseman Trevor Mitsui's three-run home run in the first inning got the Stars out to a hot start. Derek Callahan answered with a three-run bomb of his own in the bottom half of the inning. The pitchers settled down after that, with the Stars plating a run in the third and Taylor tying the game in the bottom of the fourth on RBI singles by Alex Sloan and Ryan Wiggins. Stars DH Kyle Olson scored the tiebreaking and eventual winning run, scoring on an error in the top of the fifth. Max Dickinson was the tough luck loser, with the unearned run he allowed in the fifth being the difference in the game.
