I observed a few games in the new Seattle Premier League during June of 2010. It is one of the best ideas and leagues in the Pacific Northwest and possibly in the Nation.

It is all about being challenged and competing at something that is very difficult to do. It gives the players choices to show up and bust their humps and earn college scholarships or pro contracts in their very near futures. It shows the college coaches and pro scouts who plays just for a goal and who plays for the right reason...passion and love for the game. If you play for the latter you are a fan for life and your current and future challenges are a lot more fun with more success. The more time on the fields with trying experiences help us all understand the game a little better. The more time between the lines gaining instincts and fast baseball reactions help us with decisions and we grow at a quicker rate and are able to make decisions for ourselves instead of being turned into robots and looking for somebody to turn us in their direction not ours.

I want to thank all the coaching staffs and people responsible for developing the league. We hear it a lot “the real work is done behind the scenes”. I am a firm believer of that and always will be. Thank you again! Thank you for making our jobs a little easier.

And for you players, give it all you have. Your contract or scholarship may just be sitting or standing at your next game...

Sincere personal regards,
