Ryan Wiggins of Taylor Baseball has been named the Seattle Premier League’s Most Valuable Player. Wiggins led Taylor Baseball to the first SPL Championship. The power hitting catcher led the league in homeruns with 6 in league play. Wiggins possesses a strong arm with great receiving ability and has a high baseball IQ. His season was highlighted by a two-out walk-off grand slam HR to beat Lux Baseball in the bottom of 7th inning.

Wiggins had an eventful summer beginning with the MLB Draft where he went in the 46th round to the Pittsburg Pirates. He also got a scholarship offer from the University of Washington and decided to pass up a contract offer from the Pirates in order to play for the Huskies and Coach Lindsey Meggs.
