In the Stars two games, Wilde finished the week a combined 4-6 with a HR, 2 RBI’s, 3 runs scored and a stolen base. Wilde’s performance was a key factor in the Stars 2-0 week. The junior center fielder from Jackson HS has been drawing interest from Division 1 schools. Week 2 Pitcher of the Week Billy Sahlinger RHP - Rips Brewers Billy Sahlinger of the Rips Brewers earned the SPL Pitcher of the Week for week 2. The sophomore right hander from Newport high school pitched a four-hit complete game shutout while striking out three allowing no walks against the Kent Bulldogs. The complete game shutout is the first by any SPL pitcher of the season.
