2010 Baden Baseball Season Preview

Baden is going to be younger than in years past. After working very hard over the winter the coaches expect to see a much more aggressive Baden team than last year. The roster is set and the middle infielders highlight the roster with Kingco 3A MVP Willy Reel and Loren Gardner-Young returning. All-Times Area 3rd baseman Stetson Olson will anchor the middle of the batting order. Sean Sellers, Cash McGuire, Tyler Ihrig and Will Minice are the other infielders to look out for. Catchers are lead by returner Trevor Judson. Reese McGuire is the youngest player on Baden but will be expected to contribute behind the plate. The outfield has some amazing athletes led by Tyler Carlson, Chris Badley, Zach Jacobs, Paul Sitkowski and Connor Foreman. Sitkowski, Jacobs and Foreman are all middle infielders on their respective high school teams. Coach Miller is excited by the versatility of this group and the athleticism.

The pitching staff is all new this year. In years past. the pitching staff has been the strength of Baden. This year Baden expects a lot from the pitchers just as in years past. Coach Jacobson is excited about the arms that he has recruited. The staff will be anchored by seniors Tyler Ihrig, Jayce Nelson, Charles Beaudoin and Willy Reel. Juniors Zach Jacobs, Kyle Green should help the seniors out as well. Three sophomores will be expected to give innings as well. Connor Foreman, Tyler Carlson and Cash McGuire.

Baden is looking forward to the inaugural season of the SPL and hopefully being one of the final four teams that make the league playoffs.
