2011 Seattle Dodgers Season Preview

The new look Seattle Dodgers enter the 2011 season with a revamped roster, carrying only two starters from the 2010 team. With new faces everywhere, the Dodgers carry high hopes into the new summer season.

The Dodgers 2011 pitching staff will be young, but carry along a tremendous amount of potential as well. The staff will be lead by Clackamas Freshman Sean Moran, followed by three seniors, Ryan Larivee, Jordan Ridley, and Henry Dickmeyer.  Juniors, Spencer Greer and Zach Ward will get the ball in a lot of big games this year as they are capable of handling a powerful line-up every time out. Also, junior left hander Zach Bucklin will provide another quality left arm to the staff.

The infield will be solid this summer with returner Jeremy Edwards up the middle accompanied by both Kyle Pace and Henry Dickmeyer. Jordan Ridley will spend most of his time holding down the hot corner, while both Sean Moran and Spencer Greer share duties at first base.

The Dodgers outfield will be full of blazing speed.  Newcomers Kyle Miller, Jon Culver, Kyler Meeks, and Hayden McNabb will join returner Zach Elliott in the outfield. All five of these burners will be great assets on the offensive side as well providing speed at both the top and bottom of the line-up.

Behind the plate the Dodgers will be in good hands. Clarke Bader, Tim Sullivan, and Zach Tyler will handle the staff this season. All three players are excellent defensively, can control the game, and provide above average offense to the Dodgers line-up. When not catching, all three players can fill in at other positions as they are all great athletes.

Coaches Chad Boudon and Tyler Levin are looking forward to watching the 2011 Dodgers compete for an SPL Championship this summer.
